For a few weeks this summer, some of the orphans went to their home villages to visit their families. Not all the children were invited by a family member to visit and I know it was hard on the kids who remained at the orphanage. So I decided to have a few special days of fun for them. The kids love to visit Oradea (a city about an hour away) so we made several fun trips into the city. We were able to go to the zoo, some parks, the mall and even the circus. It was a lot of fun for all of us.
While visiting the zoo, this little guy was walking around. He was such a cute little thing and the kids wanted their picture taken with him.
The kids sure were impressed by the antlers on this guy
The ponies were also a favorite of the kids
Yesterday there was a baptismal service at the church. Four out of the five candidates were from the youth group. It was such a blessing to see all of them, especially the young people take this step in their walk with God. Here are some pictures from this special day.

Hey there everyone! I know it has been an extremely long time since I have written and I am sorry, but summer vacation for me is not much of a break
……..with the kids and teens being off from school, that just means that activities with them increase. It seems like the days just fly by.

Since the TLC team has left, besides all the “normal” activities, I have taken the orphans to the city several times taken Neli to Cluj see the ENT specialist been with the teens to 2 special youth gathering in another village. The youth and I are also very busy this week trying to help get the last things in order for the local church inauguration that will take place this Sunday. I can’t even remember all that has gone on
. What I do remember is that I haven’t had time to sit down and write. So I decided this morning to drop a quick line.
Please pray for Neli, her surgery is supposed to be on Tuesday. She will be having a tonsillectomy and one of her eardrums has to be repaired. With Neli being 12, the surgeries may have a few more complications, so please pray that God would keep His hand on her.
Also please help us pray that everything will be in order and ready to go for the church inauguration and that God would meet with us in a special way.
Thank you for all your prayers…..I will try to get some pictures up next week sometime
Alexandra loves to get her hair fixed and just like any little girl, she loves little bows
All the kids seem to like music, but almost everyday, Razvan has to play his recorder
In Hungary I found 2 neat puzzles and of course, after the kids put the puzzles together, they wanted their pictures taken with them.
I’m still meeting with the kids 3x during the week for Bible study and different activities. It has been great to see the “regulars” and also to have a mix of new faces in the crowd.

Bro. Iovan came to me last week and asked me to try to sing with the kids in church more frequently. I really don’t want to the kids just to get up and sing, I want them to sing their best for Jesus, so I decided to have a weekly”choir”
practice with the kids who want to sing in church. I made up the announcements this week, and Neli will be handing them out for me at school.
Come sing with us!
