But for the rest of us, it has been a bit of a bother

 That’s right, on my roof.

With more snow expected tomorrow there was a concern that with the extra weight of the snow on my already heavy tile roof I may have some problems. So today I was outside watching and praying hard hoping that the fellows wouldn’t slip and fall as they were cleaning off my roof.

Working hard

As you can see the snow was very deep

Thank the Lord there were no accidents and the snow is now off my roof. Whew…what a relief.

Oh the joy of being a child and just enjoying the snow …

We have a new addition to our House of Hope family. Meet Gabriela. She is 10 years old and in the fourth grade. Gabriela’s story is sad and complicated but the gist of it is that she was unwanted by her mother and never acknowledged by her father. There is actually a line drawn through where there should be a name for a father on Gabriela’s birth certificate and her mother started a new family and Gabriela was never accepted into the family. Her grandmother, who actually suggested her daughter should have had an abortion when she was pregnant with Gabriela, has been caring for her for the past 10 years. Just recently the grandmother decided she was going to move in with her son to help care for her other grandchildren and Gabriela just doesn’t fit into the family dynamics.

 She’s already all smiles!

So yesterday I met this beautiful little girl who has basically felt unwanted and unloved all her life. I would ask you to help us pray for Gabriela and also pray for us as we try to love and care for her. Three of our girls are around her same age and will be in the same class as she. Elvi, Georgi and Larisa have already made her feel welcome and are wonderful at giving unconditional love. What a joy it is to see them already accepting her into our family. We also have a great responsibility teaching her about God. Yesterday, as the children do at every meal, they thanked God for their meal. When they were done praying Gabriela asked them who they were talking to and it was a great opportunity to share with her about God and His love for the first time.

I think they will get along fine

Thank you all who pray and give to make it possible for us to offer a home to children like Gabriela who feel unloved and unwanted. You have a part in helping to change this little girl’s life. God bless you!

Just a quick note to let you know that I will be in the states this summer on deputation.

My first service is already schedule for May 20th at Beavertown God’s Missionary Church (my home church) and I will be holding services until the middle of August.

My mom will be helping with my scheduling, so many of you will be hearing from her in the near future. She does a wonderful job and it makes it a little easier to have a contact in America who people can call.

If you would be interested in having me come for a missionary service, you can either e-mail me at with your contact information, or you can call my mother Luella Sebo at 570-421-6824 and she will contact you about scheduling a missionary service.

I am going to try to visit as many of you as possible. I haven’t been on deputation since the summer of 2009, so we have a lot of catching up to do and I can’t wait to share with you about what God has been doing here in Romania.

Hope to be seeing you soon!

This year because of the generosity of the God’s Missionary Church in Lebanon, PA we were able to make Christmas extra special for so many. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR GIVING! Your gift was such a blessing to so many!

The kids from the orphanage helped me make packs for the church kids here in Talpos and for the gypsy children in Batar. The orphans all remember too well what it’s like to have so little, so they are so happy to be able to be involved in giving to others.
