The men started working on the walls of the shed Monday morning.  Here are a few pictures from their first day of work.

The walls are going up.

Thank the Lord for His help!

Saturday the orphans and I gathered some more of the fruits I have in my backyard.  We ended up with a good amount for them to take home.  We actually had more than what is pictured below, but of course we wanted to enjoy some of the fruits of our labor :)

Marius was happy with all the fruits

Giorgi was a big help in gathering the grapes.  You can see by her face she was also a big help eating them :)

Pears, prunes and grapes

The end of last week I had to make a trip to the American Embassy in Budapest, Hungary to get extra pages added to my passport.  The drive to the embassy takes about 5 hours (one way), so it was a long day, but thank the Lord the trip went smoothly.

Me and my updated passport in front of the American Embassy :) (if you look closely  you can see the American flag in the background)

My GPS helped me find a list of American restaurants in Budapest.   I decided to eat a Subway (something we don’t have in Romania).  Boy was it good! :)

I parked a few blocks away from the Embassy, so I was able to enjoy some beautiful scenery and architecture on my walk.

I had mentioned in my last newsletter that one of the things that still needed to be done was a storage building.  I had asked you to pray that God would supply the needs that we still have.  Well a few weeks ago, God answered our prayers.  I received an email from one of my supporters who let me know that he would be sending in a significant amount of money and thank the Lord, this amount was enough to be able to build the storage area.

Yesterday the men dug the foundation and today they were able to pour the concrete.  Lord willing on Friday they will begin building up the walls.   Isn’t it wonderful how God hears and answers the prayers of His people?

Thank you so much for praying and thank you to the brother who sent in this generous gift.   God bless you for your sacrificial giving!

One of the purposes of the storage building is for the winters supply of wood pellets, so we made sure it was close to the side entrance near the stove.

Today one more thing has been completed on the bottom part of the building.  I have no idea what it’s called in English, but in Romania it’s called soclu (not that that helps you much :) ) Anyway the “soclu” now is covered by a thin layer of tiny colored stones.  This layer is more resistant and water repellent than the normal color and that is why we had it applied to the bottom part of the building.  I think it turned out really nice.

Sorry about the shadows…but you can still see how it turned out
