Today I finally was able to re-start my Bible study with the gypsy children. When I got to the service, the kids were already seated, waiting to start and when I entered the room they cheered and hollered and clapped because they were so excited to get started again. What a wonderful experience. Here are a few pictures from today.

I tried to get most of the group in the picture, but I couldn’t fit them all in.

The kids were so excited about getting soap again

If you look closely at this picture you can see that this little girl has her soap hidden under her shirt..(many of the younger kids do this) The kids have to hide their soap so that as they walk through the village back home, hopefully the soap won’t get taken from them by someone bigger. Would we even think that someone would want to steal soap from us?
I would ask you to pray for me as I minister to these needy children. I pray that God would speak to these precious ones and that the lesson they hear and Bible verses they learn will help them to know Jesus as their Heavenly Father.

Friday night, after playing volleyball with the teens, I decided to have the 6 youngest from the orphanage spend the night. We have talked about having a slumber party for a while and so we finally worked it out. We had so much fun……One of the highlights of the night was talking a walk through the village in the dark. Before we trekked through the village, we stopped and picked some apples off my tree. You can see in the picture how much the kids enjoyed their apples. Three of them didn’t even want to put them down for the picture

Ionel was so excited….This was the first time he got to sleep at my house….He loved the extra time he had to play with his favorite toys

Well, I had a once in a lifetime experience to go Debrecen, Hungary (about 2hrs away) to the Gaither Homecoming European Tour and I really enjoyed it. There were thousands of people in attendance and the majority of them were Romanians

Before the concert started.

Bill and Glorie Gaither

GVB

Buddy Greene was one of my favorites. Both his singing and his harmonica playing

GVB and Ernie Haase and Signature Sound
Overall it was a great night filled with beautiful music, great talent and God’s presence.

I had asked you to pray for Cami, the little girl who broke her arm and had to have surgery. Well, I just wanted to thank you for your prayers and give you a short update. Cami is doing much better. She is back in the village and is having very little pain. Surgery seems to have gone well. Today she will be going to the city to get a recheck. Her old cast will be removed, they will take x-rays, remove her stitches and a new cast put in place. Today will be an important day in seeing how well her arm is healing. Please continue to pray with me that God will heal this little girl completely and that she will have no long lasting effects from this injury

The youngest orphans and I had a treat the other day….Taco’s. The orphanage had received some donations of food some time ago and this is when they received some boxes with Taco shells, seasoning and salsa. The kids absolutely love this meal! (they are not the only ones
) They have a lot of fun adding the lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and salsa to their taco.

I could hardly get them to stop eating long enough to take a picture
