In Hungary I found 2 neat puzzles and of course, after the kids put the puzzles together, they wanted their pictures taken with them.

Part of the youth group got together to play soccer and volleyball and enjoy a small cook out.  First most of our time together, there were clouds looming over and finally when the food was done, the rain came.  We enjoyed our food in our vehicles.  It was actually a lot of fun.  It was one of those get togethers that we won’t soon forget. :)

As soon as we finished praying…..the rains came.

After the storm there was a beautiful sunset….. img_4783 (I got a little wet myself)

Saturday Dani and Moni became husband and wife.  After signing their marriage certificate at the mayor’s office, they had a simple exchanging of vows at their home.  Moni works at the orphanage, so the kids were also invited to their celebration.  It was a special day for all.  We wish Dani and Moni the best as they begin their lives together.

img_4794 It’s a tradition to take flowers to the bride, so  Georgi asked if she could be the one to give Moni these flowers.  Of course had to get a picture, because she just looked so cute

I received an e-mail last week asking me to write about how my mother has impacted my life as a missionary and I wanted to share with you what I wrote about my mom.  My mom is a special, unique lady who is supports my ministry 100%.  Thanks Mom!  I love you!

If my mother hadn’t encouraged me to follow God’s will, wherever it led me, I would not be where I am today.  If my mother had not instilled in me the importance of doing what God wanted me to do regardless of the circumstances, my life would be totally different.  If my mother had not shown me that when I  fully rely on God, I will never be disappointed, I would have given up a long time ago, but God has given me a mother who has encouraged me, stood by me and prayed for me over the years.

When God first opened the doors for me to attend a Christian school over 10 hours away, for my last three years of high school, my mother was nothing but supportive.  I know it was hard to let her fourteen year old daughter go, I know it wasn’t easy  to come up with the money to pay for my high school education, I know it was difficult to only see me on the holidays, but she never complained.  When she was diagnosed with cancer during those years and I wanted to come home to help take care of her, she encouraged me to stay where God wanted me to be, even though it would have been easier for her to have me closer to home.

For a few years in my late teens and early twenties, I was able to be at home with my family and attend nursing school and then work for a few years, but then God placed a call of missions on my heart and I again was called away from home to prepare.   As always, my mother encouraged me to follow God’s will.

During those years at Bible College I recall many discussions with fellow students who would talk about their calling and say how their mothers were concerned that God would take them far away from their home, but I never had to worry about that.  My mother always let me know that wherever God called me, regardless of the distance that is where I needed to be.

When God directed me to Romania, a place thousands of miles away from home, she again assured me that wherever God led me, that is where she wanted me to be.

As a child, my mother dedicated me to the Lord, she placed me in the palm of His hands and she has never taken me out.  Over the years my mother has been nothing but supportive and encouraging and she was willing to let me go, so I could be used for God.   Thank you Mom!  I love you!

I’m still meeting with the kids 3x during the week for Bible study and different activities.  It has been great to see the “regulars” and also to have a mix of new faces in the crowd.

Bro. Iovan came to me last week and asked me to try to sing with the kids in church more frequently.  I really don’t want to the kids just to get up and sing, I want them to sing their best for Jesus, so I decided to have a weekly”choir” :) practice with the kids who want to sing in church.  I made up the announcements this week, and Neli will be handing them out for me at school.

cant-cu-noi Come sing with us!
