If you looked at the last post you notice that the youngest orphans and I had a fun time in the city, but you need to know that the kids just didn’t play this holiday season, they also worked. The 6 little ones were such a big help in making Christmas packs. They worked hard carrying the supplies, arranging things and they helped make packs on two separate occasions for the church kids and also for the gypsy children. It is such a wonderful thing to see these children who came from very needy situations, taking part whole heartily in helping other children in need.
Cristi found a great way to transport the soaps for the packs
Each of the kids were responsible to make sure their items got in each pack.
Neli placing her items in the bags
This is the first year Ionel got to help and he did a great job.
Elvi had 4 items she put into the gypsy packs, (toothpaste, hand lotion, a bookmark and a straw)
Since Marius is an old pro at helping with pack, he knew it would take some time to finish them all, so he made sure he had a place to sit down
At first I went around the room to each one for them to place their items in the bag, but this year the kids wanted to have a go at walking from item to item.
Georgi checking to make sure Marius arranges his items well in the pack
Marius taking his turn.
Cristi placing his items carefully in the pack as Elvi holds it.
Thank you to everyone who gave this year towards the Christmas packs. Your gift was greatly appreciated! I want to say a special “Thank you!” to Lebanon God’s Missionary Church. Your generous offering was such a blessing. This year we were able to make 70 packs for the church kids, 150 packs for the gypsy children, 30 packs for the gypsy kindergarten, along with giving Christmas gifts to the orphans, teens and several others. Your giving made Christmas extra special for so many. God bless you!
